The game has been designed on a new game engine to that of Halo 3 and ODST, and it really is stunning. Bungie had said compared to Halo 3 they have million more polgonzzz to use meaning nicer character, weapon and landscape design. Spartans have gotten a new armour upgrade and elites look like absolute monsters, Bungie really gave them a reason to be feared standing taller than ever before (though SII are meant to be shorter all round).

GAMEPLAY:
Bungie has tweaked game play not by enough to feel like a completely new game but by enough that you do have to get use to the controls, with the absence of equipment.
Button layout has taken a whole new format, dont fret there is the old setting still in place but it's default is on some weird funk. But as far as gameplay it's definitely feels like a Halo game and it's pretty solid for now. I haven't done anything that finicky yet, but we'll just have to wait till the later gamemodes come out.
The armour lock abilities really add a whole new dimension to the game, before when you picked up active camo you, it would activate on the spot here you are given the choice of when to use it, adding a strategic feel to the game.
However some the weapons do feel a little weak or too strong, definitely the grenades are much more powerful compared to the Halo 3 grenades. And the DMR doesn't feel as powerful as a BRifle did.

MUSIC:
Ahhh the music,There isn't anything that epic at the moment since it is just a beta but there are little bits we'll just have to wait till the full game comes out, but Bungie has always been known for having a great soundtrack with most of the Original Sound Track being composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori so we know we aren't going to be bleeding from the ears.

GAMEMODES:
By far my favourite at the moment would have to be stockpile and headhunter, its new and fresh and feels like Bungie actually thought about it. as quoted by a Machinima employee "Stockpile is CTF on crack". But I think people should definitely hold out for invasion it looks ****** epic and looks like a lot of lulz could come out of it.

LITTLE TWEAKS:
So overall I would give (and being a Halo fan) a solid 8/10 with some game tweaks they will have a great game on their hands, Old Halo 1 fans will love it for the nostaliga Halo fans in general will love it just for the title and new halo fans will love the whole backstory of it.

There are more things I would like to talk about but I want to try and keep this short and head back on ^_^ So enjoy and here are some screenshots from bungie.

Just passed

Whew, just a quick post passed my exams ^_^. Oh..), and as always I head first over to the magazine section to check out the <s>porn</s> game magazines and what's been happening, and I came across this magazine for online gaming. As any respected gamer would do, I picked the <s>porn</s> gaming magazine(which name has escaped me) and started <s>fapping</s> reading. And what I found was a library of different categories of gamers. We have the classic Casual and Hardcore but in between these two was a list of at least 8 other categories. Though I can not remember all the catergories (cut me some slack I had exams this week). Ones that did stand out include Weekend warrior ( just the weekend as a way to relax and unwind) Newbies (we were all these ones in our life, except me, Mum told me when they pulled me out I was holding a commodore 64), Avid (What I am classified as, and means you play many genres of gaming and are quite good at each of the genres) the others were slight variations. But this got me wondering does that mean, many hardcore gamers are nothing more than just avid gamers, or gamers (a step below avid)? So I continued my investigations reading and found that as we progress through our gaming lives we start to mold the sort of genres, and in a way mold our own categories...I had always seen myself as a hardcore gamer, which in a way is correct as I do play more than probably is advised, but what I never knew was hardcore gamers play just <s>dota</s> one game. So to finish this post of, I will say it kinda ended up failing but if I come across that magazine again I will post the other genres at a later date~
Noobs and girl gamers

Itouch.

Let's face it gamers at some point of our gaming lives you asked noob questions, and most you could hope for was being ignored when you realized your fatal mistake. There's the saying "Ask and you shall receive" which in the gaming community roughly translates to "Ask and you shall be ignored, insulted and have crude your mother jokes thrown your way" now this is a common problem among newbies which are genuinally trying to learn the game and usually are forgiven. What seperates newbs from noobs is that newbs aren't stupid enough to repeat the same mistake, and learn that the search button is your bestfriend here. As an avid gamer (one level below hardcore) I roam through many different gaming forums and come to realize it's usually the same quesion that is being asked. "How can I get better at this game?" I don't know what they are hoping to hear but the answer is uaully along the lines "By sucking my dick" which I'm pretty sure doesn't work, so it must be a sarcastic answer. So noobs keep it in your pants and know we aren't you friends. Your only friend is the search bar, oh and also stop yelling in the fucken microphone, please.

Well with that over time to talk about girls and not just normal girls but the type that can frag your ass. Yeah that's right girl gamers. Many men wouldn't like to admit it but many girl gamers are better than them at games. Yup that's right guys...but not me I'm just too good, just the other day I no-scoped a girl afterwards I teabagged her. So why do guys hate girl gamers besides the fact that many of them could kick your ass it's cause gaming was and by some is still seen as the male dominated entertainment along with mud wrestling so why are so many girl gamers better than so many guys? Well according to some gamer chick from a gaming magazine, men dominate the physical world but women who are seen to have their forte in mental abilities in which gaming fits into, so that explains that...but seriously I rule at games nobody comes close to me...except that one chick in halo who helped me rape the other team. But really I don't care, the girl gamers I know are hot and no how to use their hands ;)

On the train

First off, sorry for any spelling or puncuation errors I'm using my itouch to type and post this.

Now I don't know about you but I hate it when someone. Only ONE person is sitting in a six seater on the train, now seriously what is up with that?? It's fine if there's no seats left but reallly???? Right now there's a lady sitting by herself in the six seater in front of me and not just in the corner but she kinda taking a couple seats. No, she's not fat. She just sitting in between the seats >_> those seats are for groups of people not just one cocky individual, oh just walked by her to get off the train she even has her feet up which is against the rules I hope train guards are on the train somewhere and fine her a million dollars!!! Well not a million let's be realistic about 2000 dollars and whilst I'm ranting about people on trains WTF is with people and music on the train??? That's why headphones were created so we don't have to listen to what you are listening to,now I like having my music up loud but I don't wantpeiple to hear it. I don't want to hear your crappy techno (yeah techno is shit) or your death, suicidal shit. Also what's with people and having their keypad tone on? I'm sure noone cares that you are sending a message to your lover/friend/secre other family. Well I think that is all for now, NaKA out~

Assignments on time~

So, I'm not usually very organized, I never have anything where it should be, never get assignments in on time, and leave mostly everything to the last minute.

But, usually I work better underpressure, so does that mean I should continue this trend? (I had Ramen set, and said everything in Japanese to the lady, I hope she understood). Whilst leaving people were staring at me, I came to realise it was because of my bag which had the kanji, Shinigami 「死神」, or 'Death God' in English. Also above that it said, "What the hell are you looking at, idiot?" (In Japanese) 「何をみってんだよ！ばか～」. So, after leaving we decided to head to a bookshop somewhere in Central (CBD central) that had good, second-hand manga books. So we asked the Kinokuniya staff and the nice lady in the manga section told us it was on George street next to the bus stop, was great advise till we got about 10 mins away from the shop and realised, Every 10 metres there was a bus stop, and we didn't even ask for the book shop name !!! So, we decided it wouldn't be too hard to find the shop so we started walking in a direction that we believed was towards central station...Note-to-self, Make sure you are walking in the right direction before heading out.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/So0IEWIEdjI/AAAAAAAAARI/YZg9eLNDXu8/s200/DSC04188.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371958801274795570" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/So0IEOyIowI/AAAAAAAAARA/8Y77ji1i0Dg/s200/DSC04190.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371958799303746306" />

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/So0IoHZ2v7I/AAAAAAAAARg/lzc-nZ1CP_8/s200/DSC04182.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371959415798153138" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/So0In26dtkI/AAAAAAAAARY/-ITZX8aSXU4/s200/DSC04172.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371959411371521602" />

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/So0InfEzJVI/AAAAAAAAARQ/4xKMbs_jPEM/s200/DSC04185.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371959404972418386" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/So0IDqxARpI/AAAAAAAAAQ4/UC1xhQDQi-M/s200/DSC04174.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371958789635327634" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/So0IDTHLG6I/AAAAAAAAAQw/Owts5JwR8D8/s200/DSC04181.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371958783285861282" />

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/So0G8lKf7dI/AAAAAAAAAQo/ZZ6wfycj2oU/s200/DSC04187.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371957568360934866" />

A Couple of pictures I took ---->

After realising our mistake we trekked the 20min walk back to our starting point and then walked for another 20mins towards Central Station. We finally reached Central, eating too much at Ichi Ban Boshi had taken its toll and I had a stitch from moving. But the call for this manga shop was too great...

So we started walking around once again, and decided to try Paddy's Market, and here is where I witnessed the awesome car scrape thing , usually in the city people don't give a fuck! for road safety, (One of the reasons I don't drive in the city) so as I'm standing at the lights a van taxi thing drives along side another van thingy, and both cars judder abit and along the side of one the vans is this massive dent, that wasn't there before hand. So I laughed to myself and went on to Paddy's market...nothing interesting happened there, so we will just skip that.
So we just walked around for abit more. blah blah blah, got myselves some scorll posters things,
and yeah headed home =\...wow that was boring~

So yeah bye ni~

Just the random? Does ODST only restrict you to 4 players? come on, that sucks...I would have liked to play some matchmaking without having to switch CD just to play Halo 3...Sure, call me lazy, but tell me after switching CDs 10 times you aren't think "FUCK THIS!!!"

Sure you might be ODST which means you're a peice of shit compared to your spartan counter-parts, but its not like the games will cross and you can be spartan or ODST...like seriously wtf? and other thing what about this Halo 3 disc which comes with all the maps that bungie had created and which you had to buy via Microsoft Points??? Are you telling me if you were just to stingy to buy the maps via XBL DLC you now get the maps for FREE! (ODST alone cost $100, so you are more or less getting the maps for free), isn't that just a kick to balls, and to girls genital area as well for those of us that bought the fucken maps???

The game has been dulled down a bit...not in a bad way though, but to a point that you're like OMG I need to dual!! FUCK why can't I FUCKEN DUAL...like seriously sure you're ODST, but seriously Master Chief didn't need to be told that his other hand could hold a gun...anybody could have figured that out by themselves >_>

and on that note I bid you good night upon my Rant for gaming for the night, tune in next time when I bring you something else off-topic

MakeCountdowns.com - Halo 3:ODST

MakeCountdowns.com - Halo 3:ODST

Killing Floor

To condense this quote down all it is ...is O_o London did some expremients expremients go bad you go to quarintine the area with minium weapons because that would be the logical thing to do and a gun that has close to only 20 or so shots.Besides the stupid ammo and no guns to start with games fun you can give yourself some awesome perks and 6 player online, thats nice. But i can't play online so if anyone knows how to play non steam online please and thank you. Also for some reason the zombies are naked...Oh wait sorry they aren't zombies they are genetic experiments gone wrong..(yeah that will catch on >_>) anyway the nude things are pretty freaky when htey hit you unlike l4d hordes which just annoy you they actually can blur vision making it impossible to get a good head shot on anything.

Zombies are enjoying a bit of a renaissance lately (which is somewhat ironic considering their undead nature). The shambling hordes can be found in everything from action titles such as Dead Rising to tower defense games such as Plants Vs. Zombies, and the undisputed current king of zombie titles, Left 4 Dead. Capitalizing on this recent trend, Tripwire Interactive has released Killing Floor, a downloadable title over Steam that initially was released as an Unreal Tournament 2004 mod four years ago. While it's still held down by a number of bugs, Killing Floor is an enjoyable alternative for those players that have exhausted their time with Left 4 Dead and are looking for something new. The story behind Killing Floor takes place in London, where the metropolitan city has been devastated by a large outbreak of the undead eating and maiming everyone in sight. In reality, these creatures aren't zombies at all; instead, they are "specimens" cloned by a biotech firm. Naturally, they managed to escape and decimate the population. Thanks to the brutality of the attack, very few people are left within London or its surrounding area. You happen to be one of them. As one of up to six survivors (two policemen and four soldiers), it's up to you to put an end to the threat by destroying all of the creatures that you come across. The characters themselves have their own individual bios, including a constable with a knack for police brutality and a soldier who collects fingers of the creatures he kills. The individual details aren't really important since they don't help provide any additional skills or abilities to the character; they just give a mild insight to who these people were before hell broke loose. A moment of silence, please...Regardless of which character you choose, players are also tasked with selecting one of six specific character perks. Akin to establishing a class system within the game, the perks give you a number of effects that are imparted to your character to help them survive each battle. For example, Field Medics are better at healing characters and defending themselves, Support Specialists can carry more weaponry and do significant damage with shotguns, and Sharpshooters do extra damage with headshots while experiencing limited recoil. Initially, character perks start at level 0, and all have specific requirements that have to be fulfilled before a bonus can be imparted to the character. So if you want to improve your Firebug skills to do extra damage with a Flamethrower, you're going to have to cause 25,000 points of damage with the weapon. You can improve any perk whether you've selected it or not by simply choosing to use a particular weapon, which is useful because you don't have to constantly switch back and forth between perks. For instance, you can be a Commando (which focuses on using the Bullpup machine gun) and still improve your Berserker rating by pulling out a knife and stabbing opponents. Since the requirements to reach each levels quickly starts to grow until you get to the level 5 max, you'll be able to play for quite a long time before you max out the advantages, which will earn you a specific weapon when spawning into a round. The only downside is that you might not choose to explore all of the perks once you find a role that you particularly like thanks to this system, so you may never care to master the perks. Would you want to see this coming out of the Underground at you?Once you've chosen, you're sent into the middle of a map with a basic assortment of weapons and gear. You begin with a knife, a 9 millimeter pistol with about eight clips of ammo and three grenades to help you defend yourself. Equipment wise, you're packing a flashlight with a regenerating battery as well as a hypodermic syringe which can be used to heal any damage that you or your friends may take. You'll need to wait a few seconds before you can use it again, but considering that you won't find any health packs or bandages anywhere during your battles, you'll come to rely on this item over and over again. The last bit of gear is the welding torch, which can be used to seal doors to help funnel enemies where you want them to go so you're not completely surrounded. It can also be used to break seals in case you've attempted to create a safe room and your plans fall apart. This will happen frequently under the onslaught of hordes of creatures that assault you and your teammates in a series of intensifying waves. Initially, you might face off against a set of mindless creatures known as Clots, who grab onto you and attempt to bite you to death. Shortly afterwards, you'll run into a larger variety of beasts, including freaks with large scythes or chainsaws on their arms, spider-like monsters, and large muscular beasts that smash through anything in their path. Every monster that you kill provides you with cash; between rounds you have a minute to track down a trader that sets up shop to sell you weapons and gear. You're not able to pick up every weapon you want, of course – your character is restricted by a set weight limit that forces you to pick and choose what gear you'll take with you in the next round.

Nintendo's 100 best games

A lot of these games are not nintendo exclusive...apparently they just play better on Nintendo??
Anyway here are the top 100 voted most probably not by you ;)

100: Star Wars: Rogue Leader
Format: GameCube. Released: 2007
Well it was going to happen just wasn't sure how far up or down the list...Ahh well I do have to say b eing able to catch more pokemon is good. But they should just make this one ultimate one that follows the series. Going through blue,silver,ruby and diamond.

19. Advance Wars: Dark Conflict
Format: DS. Released: 2008
I didn't play Dark Conflict but Advance wars on GBA was awesome

18. Metroid Prime
Format: GameCube. Released: 2002

17. Mario Kart 64
Format: N64. Released: 1996

Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
16. Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Format: Wii. Released: 2006
Apparently there was a glitch somewhere in the game, I really want to play this but sadly I own a 360 which has some good games but wii has some awesome ones as well..

15. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Format: Wii. Released: 2008
I was wondering where this would be, I was so hyped at first but after a few rounds it quickly bored me, I don't know why cause I found the game itself fun maybe cause I was expecting too much ?

14. Lylat Wars
Format: N64. Released: 1997
THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME FLYING GAME EVER MADE!! I loved playing this I would spend hours on end just playing through this trying to get through that level (My memory is abit vague here) in space it was like some pyramid ? And you find out Fox's dad died or something?

13. Super Mario Kart
Format: SNES. Released: 1992
Still one of the best racers...but I prefer 64's

13. Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Format: GameCube. Released: 2002

Super Mario Bros. 3
11. Super Mario Bros. 3
Format: NES. Released: 1988

TOP 10!!--------------------------------------------------------------------------

10. Super Street Fighter II
Format: SNES. Released: 1994
Proof that the beat 'em up is one genre that hasn't necessarily benefited from advances in technology, Super Street Fighter II is still the best fighting game of all time some 15 years after its original release. Unbelievably this was the fourth Street Fighter II game but it improved upon previous versions with more characters and better visuals. Pitch perfect fighting action.

9. Resident Evil 4
Format: Wii. Released: 2007
Despite the brilliance of the Resident Evil remake, people were growing tired of the Resident Evil formula by 2005. So Capcom reinvented survival horror by bringing back Resident Evil 2's all-action hero Leon. This time he was fighting against waves of mutants and all the Resi trademarks (dull door opening cut scenes, odd camera angles) were stripped out in favour of fast-paced shooting action. The Wii version improved upon the original with Remote aiming.

8. Zelda: A Link To The Past
Format: SNES. Released: 1992
It's rare that a prequel should be better than the original but Link To The Past turned Link into Nintendo's second superstar. This is a great adventure and seeing as it introduced multi-level dungeons, heart containers, the hookshot, the master sword and parallel worlds, it's importance in the Zelda legacy can't be overlooked. Yet even if you ignore all that, Link's journey to rescue Princess Zelda from the dungeon of Hyrule Castle is still gripping now.

7. Super Mario World
Format: SNES. Released: 1992
This SNES launch game took the classic Super Mario Bros. template, added more colour, 3D(ish) backgrounds, new moves and introduced us to Yoshi, Mario's dinosaur buddy who could always be relied on for a lift. Perhaps most importantly it was the first Nintendo game to reward gamers for 100% completion. There are 72 levels in the game but many of them also featured hidden secret exits and finding all 96 will take you an age. Newcomers who found NSMB a bit too short should check this out immediately. After Super Mario World, Yoshi would go on to star in his own game with Baby Mario as his rider (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island) but we'd have to wait another four years for Mario to play the starring role again and, as we all know, it was well worth the wait.

6. Super Mario 64
Format: N64. Released: 1996
While Super Mario Bros. is platforming perfection and introduced us to the wonderful world of the Mushroom Kingdom, Super Mario 64 is credited with kickstarting 3D gaming. Housing the adventure in Peach's castle was a stroke of genius as you got to know the different levels in the game so well that they felt as familiar as your own home. It's so good it took more than ten years for Nintendo to top it...

5. Tetris
Format: Game Boy. Released: 1989
It hasn't got a plot, any main characters or particularly impressive graphics.
But Tetris has got everything if we're talking about simplistic, genius puzzling with a near-infinite appeal.

Tetris ranks alongside games like Space Invaders, Pac-Man and, of course, Super Mario Bros. as one of the most instantly recognisable, iconic titles ever released.

In particular, that theme music - if you can't hum it to yourself, you really need to boot it up again and have a listen. It even, randomly, inspired a release as a 'proper' track, taking the form of a terrible Europop cover version (masterminded by Andrew Lloyd Webber, believe it or not).

While there have been many different versions of what is basically the same game, it was the original Game Boy version that properly kickstarted the Tetris craze. The best recent version, Tetris Party, is available on WiiWare, and is well worth a look for both loyal fans and newcomers alike. The original winning formula of the Game Boy version has been expanded upon with the addition of both local and online multiplayer, and a whole bunch of different game modes that keep the experience varied. But whatever version you choose (the DS update is also worth a look), Tetris' timeless gameplay simply must be experienced. One of the ONM team's mums still religiously plays their copy on the original Game Boy. Another of the team's flatmates plays it against friends on Facebook pretty much every single night.

And though you may raise an eyebrow at how high Tetris has been placed, we don't think anyone can argue that it's anything other than a brilliantly intuitive, addictive and accessible game. Like the effect Super Mario Bros. had on the NES, Tetris was the game that made the Game Boy brand a true gaming giant. And it still shares that timeless pick-up-and-play feel that seems to be a common theme among all of our top five selections. And because of that, Tetris also subtly indicated the direction in which the videogames industry would eventually turn as one of the first titles to truly attract a huge mass market fanbase.

It just goes to show how varied the range of gaming experiences that Nintendo has brought to the world is that a puzzler like this can mix it with much more complex games in the top five. What it might lack in technical prowess, it more than makes up for with raw playability and a compulsive desire to keep beating that high score. In terms of handheld gaming, it really can't be bettered. On that note, we're off for another go.

4. Mario Kart Wii
Format: Wii. Released: 2008
This version of Mario Kart ranks so highly simply due to the sheer number of hours that the ONM team has plunged into it since its release in April last year, be it alone, with friends or running down strangers online. It's a completely different experience to a Zelda or Mario game of course, but it could be argued that it trumps both when it comes to pure multiplayer laughs and longevity. And there are millions of people online that would agree, too. While we got a taste of how Mario Kart shapes up online with the DS version, it wasn't until the Wii version arrived that its potential was fully realised. The Mario Kart Channel lets you take on the world's best - or simply take out your friends online.

Everyone loves Mario Kart. And we mean everyone. Like Super Mario Bros and Wii Sports, it seems to be one of those titles that balances pick-up-and-playability while offering more dedicated players a real challenge, should you accept it. We've been playing it practically non-stop since its first, near-legendary outing on the SNES right through the GBA, N64, GameCube, DS and now the Wii version. It never gets boring, and it takes immense skill to master Mario Kart. Just take a look at some of the times from the world's best on the Mario Kart Channel if you don't believe us.
Though it might seem easy to find your way around the 32 tracks on offer, the true masters of their trade know every corner, quirk and shortcut. Relentless practice and knowledge of the courses really makes a difference. And makes anyone with these hardcore ninja skills all the more satisfying to take down with a Blue Shell.

Speaking of the hardcore, the Retro tracks are a deliberate nod to its huge long-term following, forged from similarly brilliant SNES and N64 versions of the classic formula. But for us, the number of tracks, four-man multiplayer and, in particular, that online mode makes Mario Kart Wii the definitive version. And the definitive version of the most universally-loved multiplayer series in gaming history surely deserves a spot in the top four Nintendo games of all time, right?

3. Super Mario Galaxy
Format: Wii. Released: 2007
OK, so here's where it all gets a bit controversial. How can Super Mario Galaxy, a brilliantly constructed, hugely imaginative and fantastically executed game like this only come third? It's certainly not because it's no good. Quite the opposite.

Super Mario Galaxy
We were worried that in our original review we were swept away by that excitable little boy inside us jumping for joy at the mere arrival of a new Mario game. But we didn't get carried away at all. Playing it again now, away from those first flushes of New Mario Game Excitement, it's still utterly fantastic. It's almost embarrassing how superior it is to many other platformers on the Wii - there's more love, imagination and quality design in one galaxy of this game than there is in almost any other game we could mention.

If anything, when we played it through the first time, we didn't take enough time over it; we simply wanted to experience every brilliant moment and ingenious challenge as soon as we could. If you haven't done so already, it's worth starting a brand new game again, as there are just so many great moments in this game that, if you're anything like us, you'll have not fully appreciated them all in the mad rush to see and do everything. You can't really say that about many other games.

It goes without saying that if you own a Wii, you should own this game. In fact, we'd be pretty appalled if you didn't have Galaxy already and are nodding along to this entry in the top 100 in appreciation. We think it ranks above all but one of its predecessors because it's essentially as good as any modern Mario game is going to get. While it can't ever recapture the significance, influence and purity of the original back in the mid-'80s, it remains an absolutely masterful evolution of the series. We just wonder how on earth Nintendo plans to top it with the next Mario game. If they do, we may have to revise this list a little...

2. Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Format: N64. Released: 1998
When it comes to 'greatest ever' lists, Ocarina Of Time is something of a veteran - in fact, we defy anyone that has experienced this N64 masterpiece not to place this in at least the top three. It seems that whatever your taste in gaming, absolutely no-one has a bad word to say about this Zelda epic.

Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
But let's talk about its impact first. Like many of its contemporaries in the upper echelons of this list, Ocarina Of Time was a giant leap forward for gaming when it hit UK shores in December 1998. It was the first time that Nintendo was able to construct Hyrule's rich universe in full-on 3D and, arguably, the first time it truly came alive. While the previous four titles were all considered great successes (to varying degrees), for many gamers of the N64 era, Ocarina Of Time was a maiden voyage into Hyrule and it remains the most compelling Zelda adventure to this day.

The scale of the title is something that still impresses 10 years on. It was initially conceived as a flagship title for Nintendo's hard drive peripheral, dubbed 64DD, but was later crammed into a 256 megabit cartridge (the biggest ever released at that time). As a result, completing the main quest is a mammoth - but never gruelling - task. Take into consideration all the secondary tasks and collectibles and it's an absolute beast
of a game.

The plot is legendary, the game mechanics and controls superb. That Nintendo took on a project of this scale and executed it with so much class and intelligence is something to behold. And the visuals and audio boast the same Nintendo magic that makes the Mario series so iconic. It's all worryingly brilliant, so much so that Nintendo's Zelda lynchpin Eiji Aonuma stated last year that he will continue to work on the series until he manages to surpass the brilliance of Ocarina Of Time. He might be plugging away for some time.

1.Super Mario Bros.

Format: NES. Released: 1985
This is the game that transformed the games industry forever, inspired a generation of Nintendo fans and kickstarted the career of Mario, the mascot that has given the world (as you'll have just learnt) some of the very best games ever created.

Some of you may wonder why on earth we've placed Super Mario Bros, a game that's over 20 years old, top of a list that includes greats like Super Mario Galaxy and the legendary Ocarina Of Time.

Well, for one it remains utterly brilliant. The platforming is pitched perfectly, with an incredible feeling of being in control at all times. If you die, it's all your fault, and no-one else's. The beautifully crafted levels remain design classics to this day, introducing so many platforming conventions that are still used over 20 years later - bottomless pits, moving platforms, secrets tucked away to reward the more adventurous gamer, power ups - we could go on.

On a technical level, the sheer amount of stuff to discover in this game is absolutely mind-boggling given the limitations placed on Miyamoto and his team of videogaming visionaries. A quick look at some of the other games released around that time really hammers that point home. They look positively medieval when compared to Super Mario Bros' timeless look and playability.

More than anything though, it really sums up what Nintendo is all about. Anyone can pick up and play this game (and millions have), yet it offers a real challenge once you delve a little deeper. And it keeps you coming back for more.
The DNA of every single subsequent Mario game made since this NES release back in the mid-'80s starts right here. Would Nintendo be where it is today without this game and its many sequels? We very much doubt it.

Super Mario Bros.
If you've never played it, download it at once from the Virtual Console and marvel at just how well it has aged. Everything in it is iconic, from the colourful visuals to those insanely catchy tunes. It's like studying an important historical document, except it's actually fun. And this game, more than any other, laid the foundations for what we call videogaming today.

The Super Mario Bros. formula has been replicated many, many times, but it's never been bettered. Current Olympian buddy and former rival Sonic The Hedgehog has a lot to thank Mario for too, alongside the countless other platformers that have sprouted up looking to replicate the magic of Miyamoto's classic.
None of them have really succeeded. Mario remains the most bankable videogame star ever and is by far the most consistent in terms of producing game after game after game brimming with new ideas and good old-fashioned fun. Super Mario Bros. started all this, and that's why it's the greatest Nintendo game of all time

L4D mod

Crap and I thought Survival was hard but invisble enemies O_o. Come on how are we meant to fight them...
To all you zombie shooting, survivor choking maniacs out there. A new mod will be hitting our 360's (Well not sure aobut 360) and computer's soon.
STALKER MODE!!

Doku, the creator of the bad-ass Survival Mod, has returned to give us a sneak peak of his next mod, title STALKER Mode. This mod has you battling invisible enemies with a new weapon. Yes, A NEW WEAPON! Not only will this MOD feature a new weapon, but it will also feature a new enemy, called the STALKER. This enemy is similar to the Hunter, with the major difference being it's invisible. Think Predator invisible, not Hollow Man invisible. The STALKER blurs it's surroundings a bit making it invisible.Here's the planned feature list:

•No common infected
•No survivor bots
•No specials infected, apart from the 'STALKER'
•STALKER made more powerful
•STALKERS spawn regularly (can have up to 4 spawn at any time)
•Survivors are slower, direction dependant
•Only usable weapon is the Pulse rifle
•Pulse rifle has 2 fire modes: 10mm automatic rounds and 30mm grenade / pump shotgun
•The fire modes can be accessed via the radial menu or with weapon switching.
•Unlimited ammo, but still requires reloads (99x10mm rounds, 2x30mm rounds)
•Melee swing much less effective with decreased range
•No item / survivor glows
•Reduced UI, displays only local health (as in my other mods)
•Faked Motion tracker to give a rough position and distance of the 'stalkers' - beeps get louder and faster when they are close
•No music
•Crosshair tweaked
•Friendly fire increased significantly - a burst from the rifle can incapacitate a survivor. This is quite a fun feature during the panic moments, I've seen a whole team decimated by uncontrolled firing.
•Pulse rifle can be fired whilst incapacitated - only 10mm rounds and with reduced accuracy
•Mod difficulty can be tweaked with radio commands. Easy Mode = 1 STALKER, Normal Mode = 2 STALKERS, Hard Mode = 4 STALKERS
•First aid kit use time greatly reduced
•Revive incapacitated time greatly reduced - allows 'combat res'

This would be stolen from L4Dmods.com check them out~

n00b could be the millionth

Was just watching 'Good Game' A gaming show here on the ABC2 (Australian) and apparently we are coming up to the millionth word in the English dictionary. AND! Apparently the word could be 'noob'For those noobs out there that don't know what it means there are two meanings..Newb - Is considerably the more nicer of the 2 meaning. New player or Novice more or less a Beginner at that particular game.n00b - Is what we all know as (and have also been) the one or two players in a particular game that ...well..just suck. Usually noobs are distinguished from newbs when they say stupid things, act as if they know everything and generally act like what they are doing is the correct thing.

Now, All of us have been noobs...or still are and what is great about this word is it can be used in any area as long as the receiver understands what you are trying to say.

WHAT!? You still don't get that noob is? You're asking yourself "Please naka give me some examples so I can tell apart a newb from a noob!"

Well Ok, A noob can be defined as something like this

We'll pick on a game ...erm ok L4D is a good one.
Now noob would be something like this...
*picks up shottie* starts firing away lik crazy annoying the hell out of everyone, friendly firing and above all dying in the first few minutes of gameplay.
A newb would be more like
*Picks up shottie*
And shoots those that are only running at him or very close to him, he wouldn't do anything daring *like startling the witch* or give say stuff like, holdon was that ahunter lets camp. They are still learning so they are most likely to watch you play.
In fighting games a noob can be just considered as a button basher (though games like SC purely were made for button bashing)
newb would try to learn moves but fail and be crushed by the better counterpart. This is ok as the newb would be like damn man gg. Noob would be like OMFG! Haxx0rz!
N00bs would spell words wrong (alot like LOLcat spellings) and asking for minor items that yes of course we could give them ...but why ? Why fuel it ?
Example: "Can Iz hav teh muny?", "Can u giv me a wepon?"

The only thing noobs are good at is being hunted by noob hunters
These people can be found all over games. Hunting out noobs and starting flame wars, spamming them with hate msg. Ganking (DoTA term) or it could be ganging (I don't play much DoTA) but this could just be cause you are too good xD.

...Wow this just turned into some sought of rant thing about Noobs and newbs
haha anyway here's some pictures for you

Cosplay 可愛い～ねっ

If you've ever cosplayed you will know sometimes it's hard to stay in character , especially Black mage and when everyone is telling you white mage is better >_>.... Anyway not only do you have to stay in character but you also have to look the part...and who does cosplaying better than the ever so beautiful Japanese girls. First up is Arisa Mizuhara, with her cute face and beautiful smile I think she could be one of my favourite cosplayers out there. No no no! The game is rated 17+ due to horror,gore nudity and...provocative themes O-o? Requiem is set in the fantasy world where years of DNA and Genetic warfare has turned the world into something not so different than it really is now, a world full of unstable beings with genetic defects bent on destroying one another. But the game is quite fun though its abit hard to start off and abit tedious to get going (your characters have passwords O_O) but over all I've been playing for roughly 2 hours and its fun ...grinding is a problem like with any games but the abundance in quests allow you to quickly power through levels. There aren't any bugs so far which is a plus, but for MMORPG standards is has let me down. Nothing groundbreaking ...compared to WoW, though I've vouched never to play the life sucking game I have to say WoW is better. Job classing is abit of a let down being only able to choose from a limited amount of classes. The game consist of 2 islands (Idk what the other island is like) these islands are decent in size.

and now for some pics

Like WTF! is that?

WTF is that?>>>>

ZOMG BOOBZ!!

Nice Landscape Picture

Naked Consoles

Ever wanted to see the insides of a console? From the humble Fat moving onto the Slim then the 2000 and the 3000. The new update looks slick and slim. Quote from www.1up.com
Rumors of a major PSP hardware redesign have repeatedly bubbled to the surface over the last several months -- some claiming the removal of the system's UMD disc drive, and others pointing to a second analog stick and sliding screen. According to sources directly involved with the new system, we have learned that Sony will quell those rumors by unveiling their revamped PSP at this year's E3 conference in June.

You can read the rest here. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3173959

Who would like to die for $68,000

Just read this on Popsci.com pretty awesome site talking about new tech and different ideas for the future No doubt you have it on your calendars, but in case you forgot, the 25th is National DNA Day. Can't think how to celebrate it? Well, if you have $68,000 or more lying around, you can bid for a chance to have your entire personal genome sequenced by Knome, a company that does such things.

The proceeds from the ten-day auction will benefit the X-Prize Foundation, whose mission is to "bring about radical breakthroughs for humanity." They've put up a prize of $10 million to anyone who can sequence 100 human genomes in 10 days or less. Considering that the first sequencing of the human genome, back in 2001, took an entire year, this will prove to be a remarkable feat.

According to Dr. Peter H. Diamandis, chairman and CEO of the X-Prize Foundation, "The ability to fully sequence human genomes and use that personal genetic information to predict disease susceptibility and guide proactive care has the power to transform our entire healthcare system. It is that quantum jump in speed and reduction of cost that make this X-Prize so important in accelerating the dawn of personalized medicine," says Diamandis.

Oh, one more thing... your personal genome will be delivered to you in a silver box containing a brushed steel USB flash drive. Happy bidding!
So whose up for it xD

Street Fighter

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/SfJv9VM38CI/AAAAAAAAADQ/QVJ5WB8GbZg/s320/street-fighter-4-poster-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328444408586563618" />
So, Last Friday I bought Street Fighter 4. Gotta say it's probably my favourite fighting game and I've been playing ti ever since the snes generation.
So I'm playing and a friend comes over and sees me playing, (Well hes in my bro's year but he lives on the street so we all hang out)so he says let me verse you and starts playing I'm using Sakura (My main) and he's using Blanka (for no apparent reason) we start playing and he starts button bashing but thankfully sinces theres are so few moves, button bashing is near impossible. So I win nad he gets annoyed at me and tells me off for buying a shit game ...
So straight away I tell him the games got few moves so noobs can't win by button bashing, he tells me this is a stupid concept...(I can't see how) but anyway my brother started playing as well (he use to play alot as a lil kid as well, he was introduced to it younger than me) and he also said it sucked...
So I have came to the conclusion, unless you actually memorise moves, all fighting games where you can't win by button bashing are considered gay..
I give the game 7/10
7 cause though it is 3D and all street fighters (besides street fighter 3x I believe) have been 2D, this game has really succeeded where 3X has failed ..miserably. I have to take points off as well with the controller the 360's(which I have it on) controller just isn't cut out for games like street fighter where a set of input keys has to be precisely executed or you will be left out in the open to a Hadouken or Blanka's electric shield. So if you do go buy this game be sure to buy a joystick pad it's more fun and gives you the arcade feel. Also be aware if you are playing this offline unless you have a lot of friends that don't mind getting there arse kicked multiple times, this game ain't going to last long.
So get some live or play it online with PS3...
NaKA out...~

Graffiti an artform ?

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 145px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_HWWN2CeOMLw/Se2SOvW3D2I/AAAAAAAAABE/JXHgEK9JavA/s320/Lolz.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327074716177338210" />
I was coming home on the train and saw a graffiti that was still in progress, and an eldery couple in front of me saw it as well.
